Andrew Roccasalva serves as Chairman of the CFAE Airmanship Outreach Committee.  He began pursuing an aviation career after taking an introductory aviation course while a student at Lyons Township High School in LaGrange, IL.  Andrew began flight training at Clow Airport in Bolingbrook, IL. and earned his Private Pilot Certificate while learning as much as he could about the aviation industry.

Andrew attended Purdue University and earned a BS in Aviation Technology with a minor in Aviation Administration.  He also completed the FAA’s Air Traffic Control Collegiate Training Initiative program and interned in the flight-training department at ASTAR Air Cargo (previously DHL Airways).

While attending Purdue, Andrew obtained his Flight Instructor certificate and began teaching other students to fly.  Upon graduation, Piedmont Airlines hired him where he flew the Dash 8-100, -200, and -300.  He is currently a First Officer for SkyWest Airlines on the CRJ -200, -700, and -900.  Andrew holds an ATP certificate and continues to maintain his Flight Instructor certificate.  Andrew chairs the CFAE Airmanship Outreach Committee because he wants to help educate and mentor aspiring pilots of all ages.
