Airline Pilot Videos

This archive contains selected videos that were produced in the mid-1980s for ALPA.  The executive producer of the videos is Capt. David C. Koch who at the time was a United Airlines First Officer.  Capt. Koch is currently the Executive Director of the Center For Airmanship Excellence.  The videos show how the process Capt. Koch and his team developed created outstanding solidarity among various pilot groups during the difficult regulation-deregulation transition period in the U.S. airline industry.

ROGER HALL FOR ALPA PRESIDENT CLIPS:  This 6.5-minute-long video is composed of selected clips from the full 18-minute “Roger Hall for ALPA President” video (below).  The video was produced by Capt. David C. Koch in the mid-1980s for Roger Hall’s bid for the ALPA presidency. At the time, Roger Hall was the Chairman of the ALPA United Airlines Pilots Master Executive Council (UAL-MEC) and Capt. Koch was a United Airlines first officer.

ROGER HALL FOR ALPA PRESIDENT VIDEO:  This 18-minute-long video is was produced by Capt. David C. Koch in the mid-1980s for Roger Hall’s bid for the ALPA presidency. At the time, Roger Hall was the Chairman of the ALPA United Airlines Pilots Master Executive Council (UAL-MEC) and Capt. Koch was a United Airlines first officer. In the video, Capt. Hall describes the solidarity-building process that was used in preparation for, and during, the United Airlines Pilots Strike of 1985.
